Hi, I’m Joe…
(he/him)
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. While a short bio can’t tell you everything, I hope it gives you a sense of who I am and what working together might feel like.
I strive to create a safe and open space where you can speak candidly to explore your thoughts, emotions, challenges, and successes. I understand that trust is earned, so within my therapeutic space, I prioritize a non-judgmental and sensitive approach, grounded in listening first and speaking second. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you – to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and support you as you continue your journey toward mind and body wellness.
As such, we will work together to create a collaborative partnership focused on empowerment – reinforcing authenticity, cultivating self-compassion, and exploring ways to navigate life with resilience and confidence. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy – methods that help explore thoughts and emotions, build coping skills, and reshape the stories we tell about ourselves. I have experience supporting clients in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, men’s issues, substance use, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and body image concerns. Therapy takes courage and openness, and I deeply respect anyone who chooses this path. It isn’t always easy, though again, I’ll be alongside you through the challenges and the growth that come with the process.
Outside of the therapeutic space, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, spending time with my two dogs, trying new foods, playing video and board games, and reading. I also love to learn – professionally and personally – and am always looking for opportunities to grow, including recently beginning to learn piano. My love of learning and curiosity about people also shape my work – I’m always seeking new ways to support clients in meaningful growth.
