Hi, I’m Der…

(She/Her)

Therapy with me is practical, warm, and deeply respectful of what you’ve survived and what you’re trying to build. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a case manager with both adults and children, supporting people through complex life stress, trauma, and major transitions. That background shaped how I show up now: steady, organized, and genuinely in your corner — especially when life feels messy or overwhelming.

Who I work best with

I enjoy working with teens and adults who feel stuck in anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or the after-effects of painful experiences. You might be:

  • feeling overwhelmed by emotions you can’t shut off

  • carrying old wounds that still show up in daily life

  • navigating identity, family pressure, or major life transitions

  • trying to parent, function, or succeed while quietly struggling inside

  • wanting healthier relationships — but not sure how to get there

Some of my clients come from first-generation immigrant families or multicultural backgrounds. If that’s part of your story, I understand how layered it can be to carry multiple worlds inside you. But you don’t need to fit any one category to feel understood here — I work with people across many cultures and life paths.

What therapy with me feels like

I’m a goal-oriented person by nature, but therapy with me isn’t about “fixing you” or forcing you into a formula. It’s about helping you understand yourself more clearly, heal what’s been hurting, and build real change that lasts.

We’ll move at your pace. Sometimes that means learning tools to manage the present. Other times it means going deeper to untangle what’s underneath — especially when trauma, identity conflicts, or long-standing patterns keep pulling you back. EMDR can be part of that work when it’s a good fit, helping your nervous system finally process what talk therapy alone can’t reach. I’m trained in EMDR (Levels 1 & 2), and I often integrate trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness, and relational work to help clients heal in a way that feels both safe and meaningful.

A bit more about me

I know how demanding life can be, especially when people rely on you. I’m a parent too, and I understand the pressure of trying to hold everything together while still wanting to feel like yourself. You don’t have to do that alone.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is both compassionate and capable — someone who will take you seriously, help you feel steady, and support real growth — I’d be honored to work with you.

You don’t have to keep carrying this by yourself. Let’s take the next step together.
